We had a wonderful long weekend stay here. The house is beautifully presented and has amazing amenities. We loved the cinema room and the huge dining room table for family time. The bathrooms and showers were also brilliant!

The only reason l’ve not given 5 stars throughout is that the dining room was geared for 8 not 10 as the house slept 10, it wasn’t a problem, we found other seats to use etc,

Comfortable, spacious and well equipped holiday accommodation in a central location.Property owners were very attentive in advance and during the stay when an issue arose which was then resolved. Plenty of parking in the nearby hotel, a very short walk from the house.

The most beautiful, clean and welcoming property. 4 adults and 4 children is a big group but at no time did any of us feel as though we couldn’t find space for ourselves. Everything is of top quality and lots of personal touches too meant it felt like a luxurious home from home. The owners were a dream to deal with, making sure we had arrived safely and had everything we needed and sending detailed instructions of how things worked

We loved staying at Alison’s place. It’s a great house for a big family or group. Especially popular was the cinema room, which was very welcome after a long day exploring castles. The house was spotlessly clean with a handy welcome pack, and very handy for the town centre and various restaurants. Locally there is lots to do and glorious beaches. We visited both Alnick and Bamburgh castle and also managed to fit in time at two beaches. Fantastic short break!
HeatherAugust 2024Lovely place, versatile accommodation. There were 3 couples so although not ensuite we had a bathroom each although not on same floors. We didn’t use the basement but it would be great for families with teenagers. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough for using the outside courtyard but would have been lovely to sit out there in the evening if the weather had been good. Comfortable rooms. The house is ideal for walking to Alnwick castle and gardens and areas to visit such as Bamburgh Castle, Seahorses and Lindisfarne.

The common areas were so relaxing and the feeling of spaciousness was invaluable. Great location right in town. Good recommendations from Alison for eateries. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

Great that the kids could explore and find their own space either in the vault or the cinema room !!Excellent location for Alnwick gardens and local beaches etc! We enjoyed the cinema room and found everything we needed in the well stocked kitchen. The location was perfect for exploring the local area and there are plenty of shops and pubs in the town. We had an absolutely wonderful week staying at the physician’s house. The location is perfect – we could walk to Alnwick Gardens (and Lilidorei), Barter Books, Alnwick Playhouse, Alnwick Castle and the many lovely cafes and restaurants in Alnwick. And the house itself is beautiful! It’s huge, the beds are very comfy, the kitchen is well equipped, everyone loved the cinema room and the bar. (Oh and we had the best games of sardines 😀 ) Parking in the nearby pub was convenient. A wonderful week was had by all!

The location is great, five minute walk into town, great selection of shops and eateries. Five minutes from Alnwick Castle and also the quirky book shop situated within an old train station. Would thoroughly recommend this property and the surrounding area.

Decorated beautifully for Xmas and a very generous basket of goodies. Hosts could not have been more helpful and communication was excellent.
